Rihanna, dopo la preview su Tidal il video di American Oxygen su YouTube

Un assaggio di questo clip lo avevamo già avuto circa un mese fa quando Rihanna ne aveva pubblicato uno snippet sul suo profilo Instagram.

Il 5 aprile (su YouTube è disponibile dal 16 aprile) la popstar ha pubblicato a sorpresa e in esclusiva per Tidal (la piattaforma per lo streaming concorrente a Sotify di cui vi avevamo parlato qui) il video ufficiale di "American Oxygen", una delle canzoni che compariranno nel suo nuovo album, l'ottavo della sua carriera, ancora genericamente indicato come #R8 perché non ne sono stati ancora resi noti i dettagli.

Non è ancora chiara quale sia la strategia promozionale scelta dalla cantante per il lancio del disco visto che anche l'altro brano "Bitch Better Have My Money" è stato svelato negli scorsi giorni senza preavviso.

"American Oxygen" è stata usata come colonna sonora della pubblicità per la NCAA March Madness, cioè la fase finale del torneo di basket universitario americano.
