Killers: Tim Burton e Winona Ryder nel video di Here With Me

I Killers sono già in clima natalizio e stanno vuotando il sacco dei regali prima del tempo. A distanza di pochi giorni da 'Miss Atomic Bomb', ideale seguito di 'Mr Brightside' con Eric Roberts, arriva infatti anche il video di 'Here With Me', quello che tutti aspettavamo.

Sì, perché dietro la macchina da presa c'è Tim Burton - già al lavoro con la band nel 2006 per 'Bones' - che dirige Winona Ryder. E naturalmente c'è un ragazzo pallido e inquietante (l'attore Craig Roberts) che si innamora di una ragazza altrettanto pallida, ma meno inquietante. Ecco il video, girato a Blackpool durante il tour inglese dei Killers.

Il protagonista è ossessionato da Winona Ryder, la vede dappertutto e finisce per rubare una bambola di cera che le somiglia. Se la porta in spiaggia, balla con lei nel teatro - dove nel frattempo stanno suonando i Killers - e si sente felice. Ma quando arrivano a casa le cose si fanno davvero strane, come avrete visto, perché non è una normale cena a lume di candela.

Il brano è stato scritto da Brandon Flowers con Fran Healy (cantante dei Travis) ed è è stato definito un pezzo strappalacrime. Per tirarvi su di morale, guardatevi il video di 'I Feel It In My Bones', la canzone di Natale dei Killers con un Ryan Pardey versione Santa Claus pulp.
