The Killers: ecco Runaways, il nuovo singolo da Battle Born

Come promesso, i Killers sono tornati oggi (10 luglio) con 'Runaways', il primo singolo tratto dal loro nuovo album 'Battle Born'. E come anche il testo e il titolo della canzone suggeriscono, c'è un ritorno al secondo LP della band di Las Vegas, quel 'Sam's Town' tanto influenzato da Bruce Springsteen e Tom Petty.

Recentemente Brandon Flowers, il leader dei Killers, ha dichiarato: "Scriviamo soltanto canzoni che amiamo suonare". E questa sembra proprio una di quelle, perfetta da cantare in coro con una folla festante e rockeggiante. Clicca qui sotto per ascoltare 'Runaways'.

Nel testo si dice: "It's in my blood"(E' nel mio sangue). E poi: "Let's take a chance, baby, we can't lose" (Prendiamoci una possibilità, baby, non possiamo perdere). Per concludere: "We can't wait till tomorrow" (Non possiamo aspettare fino a domani).

Insomma, quasi una sorta di manifesto del proprio destino. O ancor meglio un presagio della battaglia imminente. Quel 'Battle Born' che sarà pubblicato il 18 settembre per la Island Records.
