Schulz & Guetta insieme in Shed A Light: “La giusta accoppiata”

Non è solo l’estate la stagione per scatenarsi con l’EDM e due dj di fama mondiale come Robin Schulz e David Guetta lo sanno bene. Ci hanno fatto attendere un po’, ma alla fine la collaborazione è arrivata. Messa da parte ogni rivalità patriottistica tra Germania e Francia, le due superstar hanno unito le loro forze nel nuovo singolo Shed a Light feat. Cheat Codes.

La traccia, disponibile in digitale dallo scorso 25 novembre per Warner Music, suona come una ballad dance ben costruita, con tracce riconoscibili dell’estro di entrambe le menti. Sia Guetta sia Schulz hanno condiviso con i media l’entusiasmo di questo progetto, nel quale il trio elettronico Cheat Codes ha regalato una linea vocale omogenea.

“Ho supportato Robin dal primo giorno – dice Guetta – Siamo andati in tour insieme e mi sono particolarmente emozionato nel lavorare con lui su questa traccia. [...] Per me collaborare con Robin era una scelta ovvia, la giusta accoppiata”. Da parte sua anche Robin confessa: “Penso che ‘Shed A Light’ sia una combinazione di elementi fantastica, caratterizzata dagli stili di entrambi e perfettamente supportata dalla parte vocale affidata a Cheat Codes”.

Fin dall’apertura, Shed a Light cresce per arricchimento delle componenti ritmiche con beat che accelerano fino all’esplosione grazie al contributo degli archi sul ritornello.  In una costante sfida tra buio e luce, alla fine a trionfare è la speranza cristallina che dà corpo all’inciso diradando le tenebre.
