Lorde cambia look nel video di Yellow Flicker Beat da Hunger Games

Come regalo per il suo compleanno (18 anni il 7 novembre), ha pubblicato su YouTube e VEVO il video ufficiale di "Beat Yellow Flicker", il primo singolo estratto dalla colonna sonora del film "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" (in italiano "Hunger Games: Il canto della rivolta - Parte 1").

Diretto da Emily Kai Bock, il video vede protagonista Lorde che balla dietro alcune luci al neon, in mezzo alla strada, sul bordo di una piscina, in un auditorium vuoto e a un surreale party dove cade da una scogliera.

L'artista, che ha condiviso "Yellow Flicker Beat" a settembre, ha descritto così la canzone:

Il mio tentativo di entrare dentro la sua testa [di Katniss, ndr]. Lavoro alla colonna sonora da mezzanotte fino a tardi, canto nel mio computer, ascolto i demo e i mix finali.

Il film sarà nelle sale italiane il 20 novembre, mentre la colonna sonora, curata da Lorde, uscirà due giorni prima: nella soundtrack sono presenti , , Chemical Brothers e anche un remix di .
