The Get Down: esce la soundtrack originale della serie cult su Netflix

È attesa per il prossimo 30 settembre in tutti i negozi di dischi The Get Down: Original Soundtrack From The Netflix Original Series (House of Iona/RCA), colonna sonora ufficiale della serie cult in onda su Netflix. Disponibile in formato fisico nella versione Deluxe (doppio CD) e già acquistabile su Apple Music in versione Standard e Deluxe, il cofanetto in uscita contiene inediti e classici riarrangiati.

“Questo album è un’introduzione ai molti generi e stili musicali che possono essere ascoltati in The Get Down – spiega il producer Baz Luhrmann – Sebbene la nostra produzione sia un musical che racchiude in sé molti grandi classici, usiamo anche suoni contemporanei e tecniche che ci permettono di collegare il passato al presente.”

Tema della saga è la nascita dell’hip-hop e della disco music nella New York di fine anni Settanta con protagonista un gruppo di ragazzi del South Bronx appassionati di musica e danza. E per una serie acclamatissima in rete non potevano che essere eccellenti i nomi che hanno collaborato alla realizzazione della ricca colonna sonora: da a Nile Rodgers (che hanno collaborato in Telepathy, il primo singolo estratto in rotazione radiofonica), da Donna Summer a Zayn, da Leon Bridges a Janelle Monáe.
