La band Australiana ha inviato un video dove si dichiaravano molto spiacenti per per non esserci di persona alla premiazione, ringraziando Teen Choice Awards per avergli permesso di registrare il video messaggio.

Un video messaggio molto particolare! Michael Clifford, Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin si sono presentati alla telecamera semi nudi in un bagno dopo una doccia con in braccio il premio, una tavola da surf molto comune al popolo Australiano.

"We're terribly sorry we couldn't be there tonight. But we wanted to say a big thank you to our fans for voting for us for Break Out Group and Group of the Summer. Thank you to Teen Choice Awards for letting us record this video. And basically thank you to every single fan that's ever done anything at all for us.
